The purpose of this piece of article is to let the believer know that he has no business looking for deliverance anywhere. Look at what the bible says in John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Emphasis mine). God does not want the world to perish that is why He provided the escape route, and it is only one; that escape route is Jesus Christ. In verse 18 the bible says, He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (Emphasis mine) That as soon as you believe you are not condemned. That is the promise of God to you. You can see that I highlighted the words “Should not perish” and “Condemned” for emphasis and to give us clearer understanding here. My brother, my sister, the moment you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, you are delivered irrespective of what anybody else will tell you. I invite you to embrace the gift of God that you may be saved. I am glad that after everything, I have pointed you to Jesus Christ.
A story was told of an old woman who was coming back from her farm carrying firewood on her head and someone stopped to give her lift, as she entered the truck, while on their way, the man saw from the mirror that the woman was carrying her firewood on her head. Then he parked and asked her why she did that, and she replied, “My son, I don’t want my weight and that of the firewood to burden the car that is why I am carrying my firewood to lighten the weight on the car”. See? That is exactly what the church is doing currently; many are thinking the sacrifice of Jesus is never enough. Some are saying, No! I must do something, I can’t just allow Christ carry this load alone! But Matthew has cleared the air in regards to that. Jesus said, “My Yoke is easy and my burden light”. If you are a Christian and you are carrying a load, this is the time to shed it off. You don’t need that!
By Dr. Agoso H. Bamaiyi My family lost a valued member last December in the midst of the Christmas rush and the New Year anxieties and anticipations. It was my daughters’ amiable, loving, friendly, intelligent, ever-playfull cat – Ginger – a feline friend like no other. He fell to animal hatred and human cruelty, fed …
One thing I admire about the Biafrans is that, despite everything, they are not discouraged, they still press on. While others thought, with the death of Ojukwu, Biafra would go down with him, but NO! Biafra is coming more stronger than ever! It tells you that you can’t kill an ideology. Just like Boko Haram is an ideology. I admire Biafrans because over forty years they keep drumming it in their children the dream of their fathers, forefathers. Let me ask this simple question, If the Biafran dream had not died over four decades ago, what makes you think it will die now? What makes you think it is stoppable? It is time for Nigerian and Nigerians to wake up to reality. The truth is, you may have bunch of keys but its only one that may open the door. Same thing goes where you would have to press buttons to execute an operation or action. Once the Biafrans press the right button, nothing can stop them!
It won’t be the same again is a song that will lift your spirit.
For whatever Situation that happens in your life, you must know that, God has the final Say!
